Our Water Projects
Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “The best charity is giving water to drink” [Ahmad] and he was the most generous in giving charity.
Water is the key to all life and despite impressive progress in Pakistan, over 21 million people still have no choice but to drink dirty water, contaminated water. No access to clean drinking water increases the risk of major outbreaks of waterborne diseases like Gastroenteritis, Typhoid, Cholera, Dysentery and others which take thousands of lives. Children and families have to travel hours to find clean drinking water. Providing clean water is a beautiful act of Sadaqah Jariyah, as every drop helps to save and transform lives across generations for years to come. We are on the ground in remote areas of Sind, Baluchistan and Punjab installing water wells, pumps and reverse osmosis systems, helping communities to thrive again and save lives.
Our Projects
How You Can Make A Difference
Hand Pumps
Donate NowBuild a water pump today in your name, or that of a loved one, and uplift an entire community currently being forced to drink dirty, contaminated water. Women and children have to travel miles daily to get safe drinking water and carry it back to the community on their backs. All wells are hand pumps, with a depth of around 80 metres and a life expectancy of between 3-5 years. Don’t worry! we will forever maintain these, so the longevity will be for a long time. Each hand pump will be installed in the most drought-hit communities, helping to transform a village and provide clean water to hundreds of people.
The gift of clean water is one of best Sadaqah Jariyah to give with your Lillah donations.
Solar Water Pump
Donate NowThere are places where a standard hand pump or a water well are not adequate enough solutions in supplying clean and useable water to communities. Whether that is because of a sufficient lack of water or because the only viable source of water is too far underground for traditional methods. This means the only solution is to build a well deep enough to reach a water source, but one that will need an electrical pump to extract water through. Whilst it is possible to build one using a diesel generator, this is an incredibly expensive solution due to high fuel costs and requiring regular maintenance. A Solar Water Well is seen as a better solution thanks to them being proven to be financially, operationally and environmentally more efficient. An initial big expense, the solar wells are able to extract water multiple times a day at a low cost.
Reverse Osmosis Filtration Plants
Donate NowReverse osmosis is a water purification process that uses a semi-permeable membrane (synthetic lining) to filter out unwanted molecules and large particles such as contaminants and sediments like chlorine, salt, and dirt from drinking water. Reverse Osmosis systems can remove pollutants from water including lead, pesticides, fluoride, pharmaceuticals, arsenic and much more. And with a carbon filter, the system can also remove chlorine to improve the taste, odour and appearance of your water. We have been installing these systems within schools, places of worship and villages that do not have access to clean, safe and sanitary drinking water since 2018. Thousands of people have benefited from these systems. Stand-alone systems in remote places will need to be installed in an erected building which may come at an additional cost.
Water Tankers
Donate NowIn areas where digging a clean source of water is not an option, then we take water to the needy. Capable of providing up to 30,000 litres, a water tanker affords entire communities with one of the very basic amenities of life. Where regular water supply is reduced or inaccessible, tankers help provide those communities further away from operational towns access to clean water.
People travel miles to get clean water on animals or their backs from mountains and deserts. We supply clean water in tankers directly to the villagers to help ease their struggle for clean water.
Water Cooler
Donate NowWe install water coolers in places of high public footfall, for examples in schools with the intention of helping to increase school attendance, while providing clean water for months to come. In the summer extereme hot weather causes the water temperature to rise making it difficult to drink.
In locations where there is sarcity of electricity, we provide solar water coolers. With extreme high temperatures in Pakistan cold water is a gift to relieve the thirst of the entire community.
Your water donation can also be done in the name of somebody else or in memory of a loved one who has passed away. It is a beautiful act of Sadaqah Jariyah, as communities will benefit from your water donation for years to come.
